If you have kids or you’re a big kid at heart, you won’t want to miss a trip to the South’s favourite waterparks, Splashdown, in Poole, Dorset or Splashdown Quaywest, on the sunny English Riviera, in Paignton, Devon.
For all the fluming good fun then Splashdown, on Tower Park just outside Poole town centre, is the place to be. Indoors enjoy flumin’ good fun almost all year-round and seasonal slides that make a big splash from late Spring to Autumn.
It’s one of the UK’s best-loved water parks and is waiting to welcome thrill seekers and flume fanatics from near and far! With tumbling tyre rides, body slides and swirling chutes, a visit here will keep tots and especially teens occupied for hours.
Take the plunge down the Mississippi Drifter or drop down The Screamer – it’s called that for a reason, you know! Spin right round in Wave 105’s Infinity with its funky disco lighting and choose your sliding tunes, or seek out the lair of the resident dragon, can you hear the roar? It’s a beast of a ride.
Little ones aren’t forgotten either with their very own interactive SplashZone and toddler pool.
There’s no chance you’ll be bored with a trip to Splashdown, but in case you don’t want the fun to end, Tower Park leisure complex is full of top named restaurants, a Cineworld multiplex cinema, ten-pin bowling and bingo. Parking is free and Poole Quay and Bournemouth are just a short drive away.
Heading further west and into beautiful Devon and the holiday town of Paignton, near to Torquay you can find
the UK’s largest all outdoor waterpark, Splashdown Quaywest.
Open outdoors all summer long Splashdown Quaywest makes a splash on Goodrington Sands. With a ton of fun in and out of the water and so close to the delights of the English Riviera, South Devon’s beautiful bay. Exciting flumes and it’s right on the beach; a day out for the family that’s hard to beat. Dare you take the plunge from the tower of the Devils’ Drop or spiral and spin through splash tubs before a fast, bumpy finish on the Raging Rapids a 145m long tyre ride?
The water is heated but for any chilly ‘British summer’ you can wear a wetsuit. Goodrington Sands is one of Torbay’s best-loved beaches, take in the views, paddle or build a castle on the beach, explore the rock pools at low tide, eat a yummy ice cream or two and you’ve got the best seaside day out EVER! We’ve also just opened a brand new Costa Coffee store, the UK’s number one coffee store, coffee by the sea, who wouldn’t fancy a cuppa here.
For trips you won’t forget and will have you laughing out loud for weeks, possibly years! Why not make a trip to Splashdown Waterparks part of your holiday plans this summer?
