Every July the beautiful people will be donning their best bib and tucker before descending upon the renowned Henley Festival.
Limousines and launches will start ferrying guests long before the impressive gates open, and the pre-party will emerge from jeroboams, hampers and cool boxes and an almost Michelin standard dining proposition appears as if by magic in the lawned car parks to a backdrop of circus acts and anticipation.
Henley draws the hot crowds alright, ball gowns, glitter, black tie and Ray Bans – all set the tone for the five-day event, beautifully curated along the banks of the River Thames with partners that include Moët & Chandon and Audi adorning the marquees, restaurants, vintage fairs and stages.
There is a mix of everything entertainment from street fun to silent disco, acoustic sets to open air poetry. There is jazz, rock, pop, comedy, cocktails and clowns, there
is something for everyone – over the age of 18 that is – some things must be kept sacred you know!
The five nights kick off at 5pm prompt with gates opening to the floods of party goers keen to eat, drink, buy art, be merry and enjoy the very best of music on the floating stage.
2024 (10th-14th July) sees Nicole Scherzinger, Dave Stuart’s Eurythmics, Gladys Knight, Rylan, Angela Barnes, Trevor Nelson, Ministry of Sound Ibiza Anthems, Sara Pascoe, Nigel Kennedy, Sam Ryder and Dara O’Briain...
Every night is a winner – and under the stars, by the river, glass in hand, Henley Festival is something to behold... The setting is quite sublime, the river bustling with craft of all sizes cruising up and down listening to the live music, watching the action and enjoying the best of British. Henley Festival is a stalwart of British entertainment and the organisers know how to turn on
the fun, so get out your best bib and pick the night for you – or go every night as many do. There is enough on offer to keep everyone entertained. The floating stage is the main attraction but don’t underestimate the Bedouin, Salon Quarter Stage, and the Paradiso, stunning venues in their own right.
