Page 3 - Enjoy-it 2024
P. 3

Things just get better, the invites to review, as only Enjoy-It can, continue to come from far and wide. I am so lucky to be able to share the amazing experiences that are on offer on our doorstep and from further afield.
This year I have dined with the best, observing the trend towards more honest and traditional fare, seasonal produce, local suppliers and how communities are self-investing to keep their local businesses thriving.
There is a clear move by the bigger corporations to support the smaller grass roots concerns within their regions, and this is as refreshing as the delectable propositions themselves.
I have been on the water as well – one can’t live on an island without having a desire to swim, surf, paddle, dive, sail or indeed fish – which takes me back to my delicious original point...
I have also ticked off some real landmark achievements, including swimming across the English Channel in a team relay, completing a novel (more on that next year), publishing previously unseen 80s pop photographic works, and working with the best of hoteliers, restaurateurs, tourism and travel.
This year’s magazine is a bumper read of inspiring, mouth-watering, relaxing and adventurous pursuits. Whatever catches your eye – give it a go – mention Enjoy-It and then go and do exactly that!
This magazine has been a pleasure to compose for your enjoyment, I hope it shows. Until next year...
