RE-ROOT, THE UNIQUE NATURAL RETREAT AT LIME WOOD
We are delighted to introduce Re-Root at Lime Wood in the New Forest, a series of unique retreats, events and artistic workshops, all inspired by nature and guided by the rhythms of the seasons, presented to you through various themes including Re-wild, Re-create and Re- balance.
Re-Root at Lime Wood literally aims to bring guests back to their roots – to reconnect the mind and body to nature and their authentic selves, through various pillars of wellbeing including wellness, artistic creativity and contemplation with like minded others.
Painting is a s stress reliever, creativity booster and anxiety buster, the psychological benefits of art are infinite, particularly when paired with delicious seasonal dishes and the anxiety-banishing scents and sounds of the New Forest. Lime Wood’s first foray into painting through Re-Root will be hosted by the prestigious, yet mellow William Roper-Curzon, and the talented Amber Guinness of the Arniano Painting School, inspired by Lime Wood’s evocative countryside and sun-dappled gardens.
All levels of painters can look forward to a therapeutic and thoroughly idyllic few days of guided oil painting, delicious al fresco lunches, suppers and fireside aperitivo. William’s infectious enthusiasm and sense of fun is encouraging for beginners and refreshing for the seasoned painters looking to refine their skills and eye in a relaxed and achingly beautiful setting.
Meanwhile, Amber Guinness will join culinary forces with HH&Co’s Luke Holder, mobilising her deft cooking skills that have been honed in the Nonna-led kitchens
of Tuscany, and sharing recipes inspired by her book ‘A House Party in Tuscany’ to nourish and delight hungry artists. The duo’s laid back, locavore menu will showcase the very best of seasonal New Forest bounty, with Italian- style sharing platters, and languid al fresco afternoons drifting on with pink wink cocktails until aperitivo hour.
A re-balancing spa treatment in Lime Wood’s award- winning Herb House rounds off a relaxing few days of painting and feasting.
