The Brobe is pretty efficient at creating its own markets as one will see from the swarm of colourful fleece-lined and waterproofed robes on the beach, and on boats near you, and also on the park, at festivals and late-night at parties and alfresco at restaurants. If you want cool warmth, it’s a Brobe for you!
Talking of new markets and in quite an exclusive for Enjoy-It, we hear that Max has been approached and accepted an offer to sell the Beachbum children’s Brobes in Harrods – it doesn’t get better than that does it? Top end retail alongside the likes of Lime Wood’s Herb House where we first came across the Brobe, makes for good business alongside the hugely popular website where customers can purchase all of the Beachbum products.
And coupled with the Knightsbridge expansion for the children’s market, Max is designing a children’s paddle board with all the extras, and also expanding his adult wetsuit collection with a 2mm spring shorty, again where he saw a gap in the market.
As the company grows of course, so must the infrastructure, but Max has got the family well utilised,
his Mum is still a main stay of the organisation, his Dad inspiration and involved in R and D, and Max at the helm – inevitably the company has expanded but Max wants to keep it neat and as close to his heart as possible.
It’s an honest and real brand born from Max, he is an innovator, entrepreneur and an Enjoy-It partner and we are truly proud of that status and we watch with delight as his products light up a beach near us.

 A business is as much about its ethos and spirit as it is about its products, and it speaks volumes when the very mention of a brand brings out a broad smile on one’s face.
Beachbum has that effect – we call it the smile effect, regardless of season, reason or location, Beachbum makes us smile.
It’s all to do with the association, with the thought and consideration that went into all the brand’s leisure products and the wonderful life moments that we now share with Beachbum, it’s a market leader and we are happy to be part of its journey.
This is a brand that just evokes good times, and as much in anticipation as in memories.
The products are borne from entrepreneurial beach lover Max who, a number of years ago, sought to enhance
his outdoor beach life. He saw gaps in the market, and instead of accepting that he couldn’t get what he wanted in terms stand-up inflatable paddleboards that are cool and fit for purpose, and knowing that he couldn’t be alone, he went and researched it, he imported it, branded it and, hey presto, problem solved! And Beachbum’s substantial database of customers is testament to his notion – he certainly wasn’t alone!
He named the company after his Dad and the world is now his oyster!
Consequently, Max and Beachbum have been very busy since we last chatted, the products have evolved and diversified, and always keeping an eye on the market Max regularly travels overseas to various desirable holiday destinations to keep afloat of demand and innovations.
It’s a lifecycle of fun; let’s paddleboard, new towel robes to dry off with, jump into a Brobe for on-beach and onboard changing, wind proofing and cross channel comfort, rehydrate with a Beacbum water bottle,
