Henley Festival, presented by Westcoast, has a sensational line-up for 2023 – as it does every year, featuring five unmissable July nights packed full of world-class music, comedy, dining, dancing and magical moments.
The UK’s only boutique black-tie festival as ever presents an unforgettable experience on the stunning riverside in Henley-on-Thames. Henley Festival is truly like no other, with a vibrant line-up of pop, world, classical, folk and jazz music sitting alongside award-winning comedy, visual art and sculpture installations on the green banks of the Thames, and first-class gastronomy. Every year festival goers are enchanted late into the night by the captivating programme of music and arts – with each evening coming to an epic close with a jaw-dropping firework spectacular.
As part of Henley Festival’s new charitable programme nurturing the next generation of talent - RISE - this year’s festival provided a platform for young musicians, comedians and visual artists taking their first steps on stage, as well as offering opportunities for young people aspiring to work behind the scenes.
The riverside location encourages some creativity itself! With limited space for the abundance of attractions
and interests, the floating stage takes this creativity to another level, each year attracting the best headline music artists from around the globe and from every genre – 2023 welcoming headliners Nile Rogers, Chic, Rag’n’Bone Man and Westlife. Every generation is catered
for and talking of catering the dining choices at the black-tie festival are exceptional.
Henley is literally the festival for food lovers, with Michelin starred chefs cooking up a storm in the past few years including Angela Hartnett MBE, Albert Roux, Michel Roux Junior and Daniel Clifford. Proud to support British farming and seasonal, locally sourced produce, ‘Dish’ returned to the stunning Riverside Restaurant this year, offering festival goers an outstanding fine dining experience of exceptional quality and innovative design. From fine dining to street food, the raft of pop-up bars and restaurants adorning the riverside is sure to tantalise all taste buds!
Henley also has its very own jazz club, a world of folk performances in the Bedouin tent, and award winning comedy in the Spiegel Tent.
Enjoy-It is a huge ambassador of the festival, having covered Sophie Ellis Bextor and The Script over the past couple of years.
Get to the festival as soon as the gates open at 5pm, go on more than one day as there is more to see than time allows – we are lobbying for an earlier start!
Well done Henley – other festivals can learn much
from your superb location, line up and ticketholder satisfaction, Champagne on the river, comedy, street food, galleries, dance, jazz and world leading headliners with a breath-taking conclusion of fireworks and drones that over the river, take one’s breath away!
