It’s all about staff and community…
Ocean Automotive, established in 2000, owner and operator of Poole and Yeovil Audi, Volvo Cars Poole and Poole and Yeovil Accident Repair reflects on three years’ staffing and community achievements since it launched the largest Audi centre that Europe has ever seen in 2016!
The company currently employs over 300 members of staff within all its businesses, and supports a highly inspirational apprenticeship scheme, one for example that has seen Poole Audi’s Head of New and Used Sales, Elliot Onaran, progress through promotion from the very same scheme back in 2001!
The company has always supported promotion from within and enrols its employees into multiple training schemes to allow each individual to succeed to the best of their potential in whichever Ocean Automotive brand they work.
The company also has a fantastic record of supporting many community charities that relate to its businesses. For example, local motoring training charities including SafeWise and Dorset R.E.S.C.U.E have been partnered to improve the safety of local drivers and specific events held onsite to raise awareness of the importance of safe driving.
Volvo Cars Poole also significantly ambassadors Volvo’s reflective paint, ‘Life Paint’, to promote the importance of visibility of road users at night, including children, as it toured Dorset schools with the reflective product alongside the emergency services. (This tour was followed by the relocation of VCP to new premises in Poole where more jobs were created).
It’s not only UK-based causes that benefit from the Ocean Automotive philanthropic policy, international humanitarian charity Action Against Hunger has received over £8,000 from fundraising associated with Poole and Yeovil Audi’s Feast Magazine.
Charity ambassador and celebrity chef, Ken Hom OBE said of the monies raised: “Ocean Automotive has allowed hundred’s of children to benefit from lifesaving essentials such as freshwater thanks to its targeted fundraising at its Feast events – many of which I have hosted.”
The company also contributes towards sport, none less than Beach Polo in Sandbanks – a supporter of the 2019 event in terms of dining recommendations and the new Q8 Pony vs Audi – a popular asset of the internationally renowned event.
In 2016 Ocean Automotive launched the largest Audi centre that Europe had seen, when it created even more new jobs in Poole.
Today, the company boasts a stable of electric and hybrid vehicles that more than nod to a cleaner, more pure prospect for us all, the 300 staff and the apprentices are all forging a career and future in its businesses – with the whole team working towards a common goal of top-class service, customer satisfaction and community investment.
